Here is a picture of my food processor. I know what an official food processor does but I have somehow survived all of these years by simply using a good quality well sharpened chief's knife. I sharpen my knife the old fashioned way with a whetstone and could probably shave with it but I somehow feel like a caveman everytime I get the old stone out. This is not a stainless steel blade but is made of old fashioned carbon steel.
Is a food processor really necessary when you have a well honed knife not that I have anything against an electric processor. I simply do not have enough room in my kitchen for one. My sister swears by her 50 year old vege-matic (if anyone remembers those things) but I feel my trusty knife beats them all. Am I missing out on something?
