By nature, people like sweet foods — really, really sweet foods, apparently. Americans now consume 19% more added sugar in their daily diet than they did in 1970, according to recent figures from the U.S. Department of Agriculture

I admit I do not have a sweet tooth but I sometimes like to eat something sweet like a candy bar or a cake but I do not like added sugar in something like sausage or green beans. If I wanted more sugar I would sprinkle it on my steak. Read the labels of any processed food you buy and you will see sugar, corn syrup and even honey which is still sugar no matter what they say.

Check out a book called "Sugar Blues," if you are not already off of sugar, it will st least make you aware of what you are doing to your body.
