Another pathetic article brought to you by Merle T Wiler. I know this is a difficult question to answer because of the millions of Westerns made but give it your best shot if you want. When I was a kid all we had to watch was Hopalong Cassidy and Roy Rogers type movies which durn near spoiled my opinion of Westerns but times changed with the introduction of such classics like High Noon and Stagecoach. Somewhere along the line I realized that there were great Westerns being made and they have become one of my favorite movie types. I don't know how to spell genres:)

In years past I remember reading lists of the all time greatest movies ever made in history and The Searchers was always in the top 10 list which is amazing considering it is a Western and I certainly agree it is a great movie but is it the best?

I need to repeat that I am not a professional movie critic and am not asking ayone else to be. All I am asking is for your single favorite Western movie. You don't need to justify your choice as I am not justifying my choice for all time which is.....
